Deciding
After you commit
The choice is made, the work is done. Celebrate and relax.

Congratulations. You made it. Everyone deserves the chance to celebrate a little and relax a lot.
The project you've been working on for close to a year is over. Plan a weekend away. Give each member of the family the space to process this however they need to. But, mostly: be done. No talking about the path not taken. Just chill out.
Most schools will reach out over the summer with the real logistics: the forms, the supply lists, the summer reading, a chance to meet other incoming students. Handle what's asked and skip the urge to do more. Your student spent a year being evaluated. What they need now is time to enjoy our wonderful city and feel the nervous excitement of what's next.
Oh, and congratulations again. Nice work.
