What makes this school special

  • One of SFUSD's designated Newcomer Program high schools for all languages: the Internationals' Pathway, run with the Internationals' Network for Public Schools, teaches English inside core content classes rather than in a separate track
  • An eight-period day lets students take an extra course beyond the standard load — room for a CTE pathway or college class without giving up electives
  • Two CTE pathways with real-world output: a two-year Game Design Academy (programming and 3-D design) and a Culinary Pathway, plus college courses at CCSF or SFSU
  • The free Good Samaritan after-school program runs daily until 7 pm with tutoring, cooking, gaming, drumming, and skateboarding clubs
  • Founded in 1994 as an academic high school for the city's southeast, with a fully staffed Wellness Center and wraparound community-school services
