What makes this school special

  • Roughly 1,500 students on an 11-acre Sunset campus, with facilities most colleges would envy
  • Founded in 1855 in a one-room schoolhouse just after the Gold Rush, making it one of the oldest schools in California
  • Jesuit to its core (coed since 1989): faith, service, and "men and women for others"
  • An athletics powerhouse in the WCAL, and the historically dominant side of the Bruce-Mahoney rivalry
